Plan B Publishing

At Plan B Publishing, our goal is to create a forum where authors can interact directly with their audience. This is an area that has always been lacking in traditional publishing, something we hope to remedy. In times past, when an author has gotten the chance to publish a book, their work goes into the publishing house, is modified to fit the standards of the publishing house, and then goes out to bookstores. The only opportunity for direct feedback and interaction is during book signings. But these are often hurried and short, and are designed to sell books and promote, not interact with persons already familiar with the published work.

We at Plan B Publishing want to change all that. By creating an interactive blog, and focusing specific online marketing strategies toward growing the blog, we'll create a place where authors not only have the opportunity to publish and sell their work, but more importantly, to gain a following and interact with their audience. Though our process is much more labor intensive than traditional publishing, we believe it will also prove more rewarding as well.

We want to create a place where authors can self publish their works and still compete with larger, traditional publishing houses. But this is a difficult process.
